Biography

I was born on the 29th of February 1980 in Emmen the Netherlands.
At the moment I am living in Amsterdam as my home base. And other places around the world.

I see acting like living more lives in one life.

My interest in acting developed at an early age, around 6, when I was the first to ask for a part in a school play.

I always dreamed about becoming an actor but I also wanted to see the world and do some odd jobs here and there. After my travels to Australia, where I spent a year doing all sorts of things including modeling, I moved to Amsterdam in 2002. After a while the urge to becoming an actor was so big that I started to register myself with acting agencies.

During my first! casting I got through to the last casting round (only one other person was also still in the running) for a big part in the biggest soap series in the Netherlands. My second casting went even better and I got the lead role in a series called Fantasstic. Fantasstic is a series shot on green screen meant for mobile phones and was setup like a comic book.
I played among experienced actors who earned their credits in both the Netherlands and Hollywood.

After this part I felt it in my gut: I want to become a well sought after actor.

To accomplish this I started a part-time acting study at the “De Trap” acting theater. When the acting school Faaam (a school for movie acting) started I immediately signed up for a part-time study.

I chose for a part time study so that I also had time to apply for acting jobs in small movies and commercials. By doing this I could use what I learned at school directly in the “field”. I gained a lot of experience in this way.

After graduating from Faaam in 2007 I got a lead part as Ballistico in the children’s series Sportlets on Nickelodeon.

By playing a part’s in the Movie “The light at the end of the tunnel” and the lead role in a Grolsh international campaign I showed that I can do more than acting in children’s series.
I am more and more becoming an serious actor that can hold is own in serious movies.

My goal is to become a very diverse actor playing big parts in large productions, and in 10 to 15 years time becoming a well known director.
